Wreathing, Centrepiece and Christmas Urn Workshops |
|
Weekends in November and December are very busy at Kings Creek Trees. Exciting wreathing workshops are held every weekend. Book early, as we always sell out long before the workshops take place!
Our Evergreen Christmas Workshops are half-day events, mornings and afternoons, every Saturday and Sunday from November 13 to December 18, inclusive. Morning workshops start at 9am and will
last until about noon. Afternoon workshops start at 1:30pm and will last until about 4:30pm. We provide hot drinks and homemade muffins in our heated workshop.
Our customers tell us they have never seen wreaths so full and beautiful as the ones we supply. Our wreathing workshop participants love to be able to take home such a beautiful, large wreath,
with the knowledge that they made it themselves! It's easy and fun, plus it's a time out in the country.
The final weekend of workshops, December 17 and 18, is dedicated to evergreen table centrepieces and Christmas urn inserts/ planters. FYou'll take home both a beautiful table centrepiece AND
a Christmas urn insert. You are welcome to substitute (i.e., two centrepieces or two urn inserts/planters).

Sue Dyer, co-operator of Kings Creek Trees, conveys some of her extensive horticultural knowledge
during a morning greens-gathering tour
|
Wreathing workshops include a presentation on the different types of greens available
for wreaths. We demonstrate how to prune the cut boughs for wreathing purposes and how to make
"bunches" for the wreath frames. We then demonstrate how to use our very safe, manual foot operated
wreath clamp and we coach participants in the making of their wreath. Once finished, there is a
demonstration of bow-making from the ribbon we provide and we then talk about the different types
of conifer cones available.

|
We provide the ribbon to make bows and cones to decorate your wreath. Should you wish to use
additional decorations, we recommend bringing whatever you like to see on a wreath. We will gladly
assist you with attaching your decorations. You can then take home your fully decorated, large
wreath (about 30 inches in diameter)
